The original Mk242D was delivered to a mine in the eastern Talkeetnas, approximately 100 miles off the road system.

The Mk242D was improved as operations dictated, the original single hydrocyclone being replaced with 2 Linatex models that significantly reduced particulate reporting to the header tank.
